CHARLES MARY KUBRICHT is a painter of landscape who spends the majority of her time in Marfa, Texas. She creates grids of individual panels across which she paints mountains, clouds, streams and rivers.

Upon first glance, the viewer takes in a beautiful classic landscape before the image begins to shift and move resulting from the process she follows. Each panel is artfully arranged so that brush strokes and forms do not connect precisely, creating the effect of a painting in motion.

A native Texan, Kubricht received her M.F.A. from the University of Houston. Her paintings are in many public collections including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and the El Paso Museum of Art.
