The Adair Margo Gallery presents “The Art of Collecting.” This series will provide you with the opportunity to hear from artists, collectors and institutions, from El Paso, Las Cruces and beyond, about the intricacies of art collecting from those who understand it best.
Art collecting is not a pursuit reserved for the retired and the wealthy. More and more opportunities present themselves for people of all ages and walks of life to participate in collecting for personal enjoyment and for general cultural awareness.
The series takes place weekly beginning on Thursday evening, February 8th to Thursday, March 1st from 7:00 to 8:30pm. Admission is $100 per person for the full four-session series, or by individual session for $35 per person.
Many people have approached the gallery with an interest in collecting, yet feel unprepared or unknowledgeable about the subject. This series will provide you with the background knowledge to expose you to the enriching world of collecting. We encourage you to join us and learn more about the energy and the wealth of talent in the art community.
Below is a syllabus outlining the sessions in this series.
